Today the children in Year 5 have work very hard to convert Improper Fractions into Mixed Numbers, we linked this to our prior learning non equivalent fractions and used this skill to answer a variety of problem solving and reasoning questions.

We had the BEST time celebrating the King’s Coronation! We enjoyed our afternoon tea and had an extra surprise at the end of the day when we were given a special mug from Emma Bridgewater.

This week in writing we have written our independent write which was an informal letter from the perspective of our main character Lila. Year 4 have produced some marvellous pieces of writing! We are now using our year 4 skills without even thinking. Well done year 4 keep up the hard work! 

Wow! Look at our wonderful crowns that we have created for King Charles’ Coronation! We talked about what the word coronation means and what we are celebrating so that the children understood why today is a special day. Lots of us recognised King Charles when we looked at some pictures!
