Hi, I am Mrs Morray and I am the class teacher in Sealions. I have been teaching at Waterside for 10 years and I am also the Assistant Headteacher for Pastoral and Early Years Lead. I like going to the cinema and going out with my family. I have a dog called Bear and a little boy called Theo.
Hello, I am Mrs Joinson-Spencer! I have been teaching at Waterside since 2019 and I am also the SENCo here too. When I am not at work, I support Manchester United Women's Football team and watch many home matches at Leigh Sports Village - my favourite player is Rachel Williams! I have 3 pets at home (2 cats and 1 dog), their names all begin with 'M' - Max, Minnie and Milo!
I am Mrs Wainwright and I am a Teaching Assistant in Year 1. I have worked at Waterside for ten years. When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family.
Mrs Akhtar is our SEND Teaching Assistant. Miss Akhtar says: "I have been at Waterside since 2012 and during this time I have been a lunchtime supervisor and have recently joined the team in reception. I have enjoyed getting to know the children and support them with their learning. Outside of school I like to cook for my family and enjoy sewing."

The Frozen Carrot
We have read an alternative story called ‘The Frozen Carrot’ and compared it to the class text we have at the moment ‘The Enormpous Turnip. We have thought about the similarities and differences between the two stories.
Descriptive sentences
Yesterday we created an adjective bank to describe the man and the turnip from our story. We practiced using them in a sentence verbally. Following from this, today we were able to apply this skill into our writing. We focused on describing the man today.
