Owl Babies
We have begun our new class text this week - Owl Babies. We have used Talk for Writing and role play to show our understanding of the book, the characters and their feelings. We can recall key elements of the story in order!
Systematic number bonds!
We have used double sided counter to practically find all of the number bonds for a given number. We were then able to write them into a number sentence, working systematically helped us to find all of the possibilities!

Our new topic in Maths this week has been fractions! We are really proud of how well Year 5 have been able to recall their prior knowledge of fractions and apply their skills to find fractions that are equivalent.
