Fun in the snow!
We used our senses to explore the winter weather. We enjoyed making a snowman, exploring ice\frost and and talking about how to stay warm and safe in snow.
Rockstars!
We had so much fun on Rockstar day last week!
We took part in different maths activities throughout the day to support our counting, number recognition and skills.
Features of a diary entry!
This week in Writing, Y6 have started their brand new text called ‘Wonder’. Y6 are really enjoying this text so far! This week, we have explored the different features of a diary entry and used SHOWBIE to annotate a WAGOLL.
Twinkly Nativity

We had a disco on the last week of school with our friends, we had so much fun.

Fabric Faces!
We have selected fabric and materials to make a fabric face. First we used our paper face template that we had made previously and used this as a template for the fabric face. We have used fabric, wool, buttons, string, straws and lots more to create our own fabric face.
Poetry Tools!
This week in Y6, we have explored poetry. During our features lesson, we explored different ‘Poetry Tools’ poets use to capture the reader’s imagination. Poetry can be really tricky; however, Y6 have shown their determination and excellence to develop a super understanding so far! Well done…
The snowman!
We have watched The Snowman and spoken about what a snowman should not do! In this imaginative story the snowman comes to life and does lots of things such as ride a motorbike, fly through that winter sky and sit by the fire and almost melt! We enjoyed writing about ‘what a snowman should not do’…
Think Tank Museum!
Our trip to the Think Tank Museum in Birmingham! Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their day, especially experiencing a planetarium show!
Geographical Sketching!
