As part of our DT topic ‘Floor Robots’, Sharks class have created an input for our Bee-Bot before observing its output. We were very impressed with how clever Bill the Bee-Bot was following our input!

This week we have been learning about Africa. The children have looked at the different animals and wrote about what they can see in the African Savanna. We have been focusing on sentences and being able to use a full stop and sometimes a capital letter at the start of our sentence.

We had SO much fun using the glockenspiels in today’s music lesson. We learned a simple tune of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ to get us used to using them. 

Year 5 Dolphins used their powerful predicting skills beautifully today to investigate our new English text: Holes by Louis Sachar.

Year five Dolphins really enjoyed role playing the events of the epic tale of Beowulf today!  We took it in turns to portray Grendel, his mother and the hero himself in battle, searching for treasure and slaying monsters!

Year 1 have loved learning about Picasso this half term. They have been amazed by his art work and his use of colour to express him emotions. The children have also been fascinated by Picasso's Cubism and even worked on creating their own piece in the same style.
