On Friday afternoon, we tried some wonderful traditional Eid food prepared for us by our very generous parents and celebrated Eid by taking part in a fantastic activity, drawing our own Mehndi intricate patterns! 

Sharks enjoyed sampling authentic food and creating cards to celebrate Eid. Eid Mubarak!

This afternoon we completed learning all about Eid and how Muslims celebrate. We then created our own Eid cards for our family and friends, tasted authentic foods and completed freeze frames. 

In our writing sessions this week, we have been planning our independent write based on our story Cliffhanger. We demonstrated excellent teamwork when we created group story maps of Tim’s experience in the obstacle race. We shared our maps and retold the story in detail. 

Every Thursday we participate in our singing assembly. Year 3 are always so enthusiastic when they are singing and we have been known to be heard all around school! Well done everyone!

Year 6 investigated the impact of exercise upon our heart rates.

How does exercise affect the heart? This was the question we investigated today! We started by taking our resting heart rate then began exercising for 2 minutes! We then recorded our heart rate straight after exercising and we saw a dramatic increase! We couldn’t believe how much our heart rate…

We have created a graph to show the growth in imports and exports within the British Empire. Did you know that imports are goods that are bought into a country and exports are good sold abroad to other countries!

In Year Five Dolphins, we have enjoyed making Eid cards for our friends and families.
