Subtraction facts
We have been learning about subtraction this week. We practised our verbal recall of subtraction facts within 5, using a prompt (e.g. number line) if/when required. Once we had worked out the answer, we wrote the number sentence to represent each subtraction fact.
Year 5 Narwhals Improper Fractions
Today the children in Year 5 have work very hard to convert Improper Fractions into Mixed Numbers, we linked this to our prior learning non equivalent fractions and used this skill to answer a variety of problem solving and reasoning questions.
