This week in writing Year 4 have started reading their brand new text for this term' The Firework Maker's Daughter'. We have created some role on the walls to begin to understand different characters thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Roman Day trip to Chester!
Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their Roman day trip to Chester, where they experienced what it was like to be a Roman soldier in Britain!

Today, Year 4 took part in some in incredible Science day activities, all about space, to celebrate British Science Week!

In Grammar this week, we have started to look at a going deeper year 4 skill of using relative clauses to add extra detail into our writing. We will continue to look at this skill next week!

This week in writing we have written our independent write, it was lovely to see how focussed and determined the children were when writing independently. We look forward to reading these writes! Well done year 4!
Pesky perimeter!
This week in Maths we have been tackling a new concept of perimeter. At first we found this quite tricky but by the end of the week we have moved on to finding the missing lengths of rectilinear shapes to find the perimeter.
