Last week was wonderful in school. I was monitoring the teaching and learning across school and I am delighted to say the standard of teaching and attitudes and learning of the children was exemplary. All lessons were focused to the children’s needs and the children were motivated to move through challenges to achieve their highly set targets. A huge congratulation to all. If you want to see the fantastic teaching – come in and see our seeing is believing session on Tuesday where you can see how your child learns and how they achieve the challenges in class.
Over this next week, the children will be taking part in environment challenges at lunchtime looking after our school. This will help us look after our school grounds as Autumn approaches. Mr Hughes will be making a new garden area surround and the key stage one outdoor area fencing. If anyone would like to come and help, pop and see us at the office. More hands mean quicker output for our children. We will then finish our Autumn challenge with the ‘Harvest Festival’ which has been moved to the 19th October. All parents are welcome. The children will be singing some Autumn songs and reading special poems.
This week I am working for Ofsted for two days but the senior leadership are all on hand to ensure that the standards are maintained and Waterside is not affected at all.
All uniform is now in stock and therefore from this week routine weekly checks will be taking place. The uniform policy is online.
If you have any questions, come and see me anytime or on Tuesday and Wednesday the SLT.
