The wonderful water cycle!
This week in Science we explored the different stages of the water cycle and discussed the challenging question is the water we drink today the same water dinosaurs drank in the past!
Planning for our Independent write!
On Wednesday year 4 started planning for their independent writes. We had some insightful discussions and worked together on whiteboards to create some high level sentences using our year 4 skills together!
Maths Multiplication
This week Year 4 have been practising their multiplication skills, some of us have even challenged ourselves to use our skills to answer difficult reasoning and problem solving questions!
Year 4s adventure down to the woods
Today Year 4 went down to our local woods in forest school to explore nature on a beautiful frosty morning!
Clay, bugs and mud!
Year 4 had great fun making clay creatures, mud paint and mini habitats for worms!
Fantastic forest school
This week in forest school, year 4 have been practicing their knotting skills. Working in groups with their friends, the children have created some amazing nature art pieces within a frame!
Amazing alternative event
This week Year 4 have written an alternative event for their independent write. It has been lovely to see today the children self assessing and editing their own writing to improve, this is a skill we have been focussing on recently. Well done Year 4!
Lets get messy!
Year 4 ,today, in after school club got very messy! They made wonderful pattern paintings by rolling conkers in paint, made patterns with leaves, hunted for bugs and dug for worms!
Fantastic forest school!
Today Year 4 took part in forest school they had to complete a forest school hunt where they had to find- twigs of different sizes, leaves of various sizes & colours, insects, flowers & birds. Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed this outdoor experience and cannot wait for next Friday!
Creative clay tiles
This week year 4 had the opportunity to create their very own clay tiles. We had a wonderful time discovering the process of how clay tiles are made. Some of us even went back to visit with our family later the same day. We were very proud of how year 4 represented waterside! Well done Year…
Forest School - den building!
Today we had great fun, making dens! We worked in teams to plan and build our dens. We had to think carefully about what would be the best location, what we needed, how to build it and what would offer us the most protection from the rain.
Jabberwocky illustrations
This week we have illustrated our jabberwocky poems using the medium of charcoal. We have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with charcoal and have produced some fantastic pieces of art. Well done Year 4!
