Odd Sock Day!
This week is anti-bullying week and in recognition of this day children came to school wearing odd socks! It was great to see so many children wearing their odd socks!
How to become….. Flow diagram
Today the children have created a flow diagram detailing the path they may take in order to achieve their future career. We had many aspirations such as; footballers, surgeons, lawyers, gymnasts, cricket players, fashioner designers, an ice cream man and doctors!
School Parliament
Today Mrs Rathbone held a whole school Parliament meeting where the members of parliament got to discuss the actions taken by each department and share their successes and impact of these. #pupilvoice #schoolparliament
Red2Blue inspired Writing

Sporting superstars
Year 6 have started a new topic of ‘Outdoor Activities’. We are learning about using keys when orienteering around the school grounds. The class completed a warm up around our new running track before doing an obstacle course, finding symbols and their word counterparts!
Time for transition
Year 6 have continued to work on transition in preparation for moving to high school! We are completing transition booklets, which we will bring home at the end of term, full of memories of Waterside and our hopes and dreams for the future.
Bikeability superstars
Year 6 have taken to the road as part of their Bikeability programme this week, showing confidence when cycling on busy roads. They continued to show our expectations of being ready, respectful and safe at all times. Well done Year 6!
