Celebrating Eid!
This afternoon we completed learning all about Eid and how Muslims celebrate. We then created our own Eid cards for our family and friends, tasted authentic foods and completed freeze frames.
Creating a group story map
In our writing sessions this week, we have been planning our independent write based on our story Cliffhanger. We demonstrated excellent teamwork when we created group story maps of Tim’s experience in the obstacle race. We shared our maps and retold the story in detail.
We love singing!
Every Thursday we participate in our singing assembly. Year 3 are always so enthusiastic when they are singing and we have been known to be heard all around school! Well done everyone!
House building
Funky fingers were set the challenge of building a house, using Lego today. They created some amazing houses, this one includes a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room. They talked beautifully about their designs to each other. Well done everyone!

Sharing stories
Several of the Puffins are really into reading at the moment. It is lovely to see virus children bringing in reading materials from home and sharing them with the rest of the class. Roald Dahl is proving to be a big hit with the class!
Researchers in action
Year 2 were researchers in their English lesson today. They used iPads to find information about deforestation, in preparation for writing their persuasive letter to the giants. They recorded their findings on post-its before having a class discussion about their research.
