To all parents and carers,
Well what a fantastic start to the new school year we have had. The children have experienced their new topic WOW days and absolutely loved the learning opportunities that have taken place. I am delighted to say that the children are extremely focused in class and showing a fantastic attitude to learning that will only support them to achieve great outcomes.
I am delighted to say that the school has received some funding through the Department for Education Opportunity fund. This will mean that during this term we will be investing £6,000 into our outdoor area development to help raise the fitness levels of our children and healthy lifestyles. We also have active families starting this Friday and this is exciting. You will see examples of the excellent work on our school website.
A reminder to parents that we have weekly blogs online for all classes to support the children with learning and to explain to parents the curriculum content. Please review these blogs as you will be so pleased with the learning your children are completing.
Last week attendance improved significantly and we ended the week at 97.2% this is a great start to the Spring Term. I will be sending out attendance letters this week and currently we are working with families who have poor attendance. The school does not authorise school holidays in term time and therefore we ask that term dates are checked online.
Last week, we had an inclusion review in school by Jan Dodd. I am delighted to say the provision was judged exemplary. The report will be on the external advisor section of the website next week should you wish to read it and about the fantastic provision we offer.
